AMTRAK
Kids Ride Free on Amtrak® Pacific Surfliner®
You won’t have to worry about traffic or parking hassles if you take the Pacific Surfliner train to Ventura. The station is a few steps from the festival entrance. Many Pacific Surfliner stations offer free parking, and the train ride is comfortable with onboard amenities such as a Market Café, free Wi-Fi, power outlets, and more.
METROLINK
Make your trip to the California Strawberry Festival even sweeter with Metrolink.
Ride the Ventura County Line to the Ventura Downtown Beach Station —just steps from the festival—and skip the traffic and parking. Special Metrolink service will offer direct access to the event.
On weekends, enjoy the $10 SoCal Day Pass for unlimited rides. Even better, up to three kids 17 and under ride free with each paying adult on Metrolink trains, making it a great option for families.
Metrolink’s codeshare with Amtrak Pacific Surfliner also provides additional travel options along the Ventura County Line. Kids Ride Free is not valid on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains.
Purchase tickets at a Metrolink ticket machine or on the mobile app (same-day purchases only) and enjoy a smooth ride to the festival.

Avoid traffic delays and parking fees by utilizing our free park ‘n’ ride Strawberry Express Shuttle Service from convenient locations throughout Ventura and Oxnard.
Shuttles run on surface streets and have direct access to get you to the Festival fast and help you save on parking. Pick-up and drop-offs run approximately every 15-20 minutes. The first shuttle picks up at 9:00 a.m. Shuttles will operate until 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Handicapped accessible shuttles are available.

FROM THE NORTHBOUND 101 FREE WAY
- Take the California exit
- Turn left over the bridge onto Harbor Blvd.
- Turn right on Harbor Blvd. and continue until you reach The Ventura County Fairgrounds
- The fairgrounds are at the corner of Harbor Blvd. and Figueroa St.
FROM THE SOUTHBOUND 101 FREEWAY
- Take the Seaward Ave. exit
- Turn left onto Seaward Ave.
- Get on the 101 North and take the California offramp.
- Turn left over the bridge onto Harbor Blvd.
- Turn right on Harbor Blvd. and continue until you reach The Ventura County Fairgrounds
- The fairgrounds are at the corner of Harbor Blvd. and Figueroa St.
Note! We highly recommend Southbound traffic use our new shuttle from De Anza DATA Middle School (Exit Hwy 33 N to Stanley).
ON-SITE PAID PARKING (LIMITED)
$30 on-site venue parking is extremely limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. When lots are full, only guests with Vendor, Sponsor, VIP, or Handicap Placards will be permitted into the fairgrounds lot. Stay tuned to castrawberryfestival.org for weekend traffic and parking alerts. Notices will be posted as lots open and close.
Projected Parking Lot Closure: 11 AM – 3 PM
When venue parking is full, guests will be directed toward shuttle stops until lots re-open.

FREE BIKE VALET
Bike traffic is encouraged to take Santa Clara or Harbor Blvd toward Figueroa Street, and enter using the main festival entrance where there will be a FREE first come, first served bike valet. Not sure the best route to get here? Check out the City of Ventura’s extensive bike routes.
WALKING
Ventura is very foot-friendly, with an enjoyable downtown area full of shops and restaurants. Whether you’re walking from your hotel or parking and enjoying the scenery along the way, foot traffic is encouraged to take Santa Clara St to Figueroa Street or The Ventura Beach Bike Path to the Festival Entrance.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION / BUS
The closest public bus stop is located near the intersection of Figueroa and Thompson Blvd, just a block away from the Ventura County Fairgrounds.
VCTC Intercity
VCTC’s Coastal Express and Highway 126 routes stop in Downtown Ventura. For more information, visit goventura.org. Transit operators allow bike storage onboard!
Gold Coast Transit
Routes 6 and 16 provide service to Downtown Ventura. For more information, visit Gold Coast Transit’s website.
Bus Fares
Trips on VCTC Intercity buses can be paid for using contactless debit and credit cards and mobile wallets, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Trips on all local buses can be paid for through the VCbuspass app or with exact change. Riders who use VCbuspass to pay for their fare will receive a 10% discount per trip. Students enrolled at Ventura County colleges, UC Santa Barbara and Santa Barbara City College ride free through the College Ride Program and youths 18 and under ride free through the Youth Ride Free Program.
